Five things that make me feel good

‘Five things that make me feel good’; started by Scottish Mum, I was tagged by Super Amazing Mum, and there are rules! (gosh!) which you can check out by clicking here.
As I have blogged before, I can’t say no to Super Amazing Mum, so five things that make me feel good, not about how I look because, to be honest, I’m fairly happy with that (to late to change it now) this is stuff that emotionally connects with me and lifts my spirits.

I used to go out dancing a lot, but I haven’t danced for a long time, apart from around the kitchen to my ipod. At the end of last year I was lucky enough to see Dizzee Rascal perform, to cut a long story short, I ended up in the front row. Which gave me room enough to get up and move – and I remembered how good dancing makes me feel.

‘Stepping off’, taking a day out – just for me. Not working, not parenting. Spending a day doing whatever I fancy; a cafe, sleeping, spa, shopping – whatever. Just stepping off the whole merry-go-round that life can feel sometimes, and having a day at my pace.

A good long walk, preferably in the countryside, more preferably up a hill or a mountain. It’s a work-out and somewhere beautiful, it’s good for my body and my soul.

Sunshine makes everyone smile, it makes the world seem better. Sunshine clothes and flip flops are the best kind of wear. Windows open and blue skies, then I’m happy to get up in the morning.

The woman I met in London in November. The one that thought I was in my early 20’s. Yup, her.

I’m not tagging anyone, however if you read this and want to blog your ‘Five things’ go for it, and pop over to Scottish Mum’s blog by clicking here and add yourself to the Linky here or at Scottish Mum.

    I like you a lot.
Oh yes, taking a day to do nothing.
Also a coffee or a lunch with a gal-pal and I feel amazing.
Walking and recently, running puts me on the vortex and I feel all sorts of sappy happy gladness.

I wish I had added the dancing to my list. I think because I used to dance professionally (well almost – until major knee surgery prohibited it) I saw it is as a given that dancing would make me smile 🙂

Great meeting you, look forward to reading more from you and getting to know you and yours in time 🙂 Take care hun xxx
