Interested in learning more about blogging for a charity? Simply want to know more about development? Want to meet other bloggers in a small setting, with no pressure and share some ideas?
You are invited to Action Aid bloggers Summer Party the afternoon of 15th August. Children are welcome and will be catered for with activities while you hear more about the work of Action Aid and maybe pick up some blogging tips.
I first met up with Action Aid a few months ago and discovered more about the work they do particularly about Sponsoring Children. I met Enrico a key member of Action Aid’s Kenya team who spoke of being inspired by his own experience as a sponsored child.
In January returned to Action Aid for their bloggers tea party and spent a lovely afternoon drinking tea and meeting other bloggers. It was also opportunity to find out more about Action Aid’s work and hear first hand what a positive difference .
The Action Aid Summer Party is on 15th August in London.
What to expect: An informal and welcoming vibe, a small group of other bloggers. Time to listen to Jimi Mistry (yes, him from Strictly Come Dancing) and Alex Graham (award-winning TV producer) talk about visiting Action Aid projects. Because it’s small and informal there is time to chat and ask questions. Louise Action Aid’s Digital Producer will be giving tips on social media. If that wasn’t enough, myself and Penny who blogs at Alexander Residence will be hosting a session “A Big Blogger Brain storm” (I know; my name, hosting a session and big blogger brain storm in the same sentence). We will be discussing how you can get involved. Obviously, we don’t have all the answers (possibly, I don’t have any) so it’s very much about sharing ideas and thoughts. No thought too small, no idea too big. Really, there is no pressure, it’s as much about listening as it is about contributing.
You are invited:
