Beyond Excited. Camp Bestival

Beyond Excited would adequately describe us. This time next week we will be heading to Camp Bestival. The ultimate family festival, set in the grounds of Lulworth Castle in Dorset.

Camp Bestival offers so much it is difficult to pick what we are most looking forward to, I have tried and we have a plan and ideas. Festivals are about the moment and I expect some of our intentions will be lost to other exciting discoveries made whilst exploring.

We’ve been before and know what to pack. This year, added to the baby wipes (Mr Noo is intending to use the showers in the Purple Campsite, I am going for grubby). My essentials list is sun hats, sun block, high factor sun cream, water bottles and more water bottles. I fully expect that it’s going to be a scorcher and we will be prepared.

Less is more when packing. It’s informal no one cares you have worn the same shorts for the whole weekend. A bag of entertainment for my son for the car; story CDs, colouring books, toys – the traffic queues to get in were long last time.

Whilst almost every food preference is catered for, I know my small boy will want homemade sandwiches, we will be decanting peanut butter and marmite into plastic containers. Sensibly, no glass is allowed on the site.

My other tops tips are consider a small stove for a morning brew, tea bags and a small container of milk (frozen milk last longer). Leave handbags at home go for a small cross body bag or a rucksack. A picnic blanket; for settling upon, chilling out and enjoying a variety of music.

The final question is what will to wear. The theme this year is ‘Around the World’. There are big thought bubbles above my head.

Watch my twitter stream and instagram for from the site updates. It’s going to be brilliant. It’s not to late to join us for a weekend packed full of amazing music, acts, experiences. Guaranteed to make long-lasting and wonderful memories. Tickets are still available here. Go on……you won’t regret it.

Disclosure: I have received a family pass for Camp Bestival. All words and opinions are my own.
