Pinterest Re-love

Sitting outside in the sunshine with a cup of tea, how I’ve missed that. Last week for the first time in months, I did just that. Washing on the line, blossom, sun. I love spring, long light evenings, the promise of the months a head, planning holidays and adventures. Everything feels new, buds on the trees, flowers suddenly appear. I have to stop myself from skipping on the school run, the other parents stare.

Despite being stuck at home with a poorly child, there have been some positives, I had some time to clear out drawers and cupboards, which created a pile of clothes to go and left a wardrobe gap. Coupled with thoughts of sunshine and plans, and I re-discovered my Pinterest love and began some virtual gathering, I’m all about new clothes. I may not purchase them, but there is joy in the browsing.

Initially, pinning merrily away on my ‘Spring time is New Time board’ only to later realise there were a lot of stripes, which is my go to staple. Love a nice striped top. Then I decided I wanted a shirt. Which turned out to be mostly white shirts. So I changed the name to ‘Shirts (mostly) white shirts’. It didn’t seem very inspiring.

Using a trip to the hairdressers and the chance to browse magazines, it is floral out there. Back to Pinterest and pleasant evening spent creating a florals board. Get me, so on-trend! Instead of jumping from site to site, I sourced everything from John Lewis which have gorgeous selection of women’s tops, all from great brands, and makes for easy go-to, time-saving shopping, which is my preference. I am optimistic for a summer like last summer and I’m thinking, dump the stripes and plain white and go brights and floral. Have a look at my boards. What do you think?

It all makes me very positive for sunshine, festivals, camping, BBQ’s, picnics. My plan is to update ‘camping and lovely outdoor stuff’ board, which is a bit neglected. To add a ‘beaches to go’ board, I’m thinking great UK beaches. Any favorites gratefully received. A ‘garden furniture board’, probably also sourced at John Lewis as their outdoor range has always been on my wish list. To keep an eye on ‘Love Festivals’ board. Because, we need a festival this summer. Springs calls out for new things and plans. How did I forget the joys of Pinterest? Even if I don’t get there, there’s joy in the browsing, pinning and planning.

forgotten my Pinterest password it’s been that long. Really should try again – know I’d like it if I gave it some time. Have you got any Gower beaches on your beach/camping boards? Always itching to get back there when the weather picks up. Rhossili, Oxwich, Port Eynon. Beautiful.
