This Summer we are joining the circus, the biggest, brightest and boldest circus imaginable. For this summer we are at Camp Bestival and the theme this year is the circus, Camp Bestival brings all the fun of the circus and if you want to join the party and be a ring master or clown for the weekend, get your fancy dress on. If dressing up isn’t your thing, just enjoy the show!
Camp Bestival this summer, will be our third visit, I am passionate about Camp Bestial as a brilliant family experience.
There is less than 90 days to go to the festival and over the coming weeks, I shall be blogging about our picks for this year and our tips from past experience. As a lover of food I shall be delving into Camp Besitval’s celebration of foodie things; the Feast Collective with the help of someone special.
For many families Camp Bestival will be a first experience of camping. Camping is a wonderful chance to get back to nature, be outdoors, forget screens and play in the grass. I am so excited to discover that Project Wild Thing will be taking over the Dingley Dell, a beautiful wooded area of the festival. Project Wild thing is about getting children and young people outside amongst nature and they will be providing nature themed activities. Can’t wait.
Not got a ticket? Try this video for size, via Bambino Goodies it gives a glorious flavour of the festival (I have to admit I love this video, so much).
The video features younger children, Camp Bestival caters for families and children of all ages. Last year, my then 5 year old, loved the Wall of Death Motorcycle display and the chance to see wild birds up close, he was memorised by the BMX displays, as much as he loved Mr Tumble (and as much has his Dad loved all those things). You can read my review here.
In the meantime, try a bit of Campbestival-ness, because Camp Bestival is on tour, get a flavour of the festival without unpacking your tent.
So roll up, roll up and join the circus. What’s stopping you? Get your tickets here. Camp Bestival 2014. July 31st – August 3rd August.
