Bathroom Storage Ideas and Tips

Bathroom Storage Ideas and tips for a clutter free room

Recently, I’ve returned to my bathroom obsession and have been browsing Pinterest and home magazines for inspiration and tips. My aim is to make the best of the bathroom, which for many homes is the smallest room but one where we gather the most clutter.

Our bathroom is not only a gathering place for the various lotions and potions that I use, it also houses an extensive range of plastic sea animals belonging to my son. I grab products that are on 3 for 2 offers and shove them in the bathroom. Surfaces in our bathroom end up cluttered. Like most bathrooms, the main issue is housing bathroom clutter.

I’ve gathered a storage wish-list, these items are all from Homebase. Reasonably priced, lovely designs and available to buy on-line for home delivery or click and collect, I think I’ve found the answer to my bathroom storage. These are great designs but look out for similar in other stores.

Baskets make great reasonably passed storage solutions, they work really well in bathrooms, adding warmth and texture, against the simplicity of a bathroom suite. They work well for tucking away spare loo rolls, those items that aren’t so pretty to look at but need to be accessible. I also like them for spare towels and sea animals.

Clever Caddy

The tall caddy on my wish list, make use of clever stacking to create extra storage for all those bits and bobs that I use everyday; deodorant, moisturiser, make-up, hair clips. Keeps them all in one place and crucially visible and accessible.

Most bathrooms are short on space, shelves are the perfect answer, either to display vase and jugs to brighten the room or storage for those baskets! A towel rail with an extra shelf provides double the storage in the same space.

Tall and Slim

Slim storage solutions, such as either of the cabinets I’ve chosen make use of ‘tall and slim’ for small space bathrooms. Our bathroom is fairly roomy and I’ve chosen two. I’ve lots of things in the bathroom I want to keep hidden; medication and cleaning materials. White cabinets fits with any colour scheme and while furniture give the illusion of more space.

A long hot soak is so much more relaxing in a clutter free space.

The wish list comes in at under £80: great value and solves all my storage solutions.
